From Camera Shyness to Finding Her Voice in Jungle of Justice

Favour Lasumso Musa is an emerging Nigerian actress from Adamawa State and a proud Chamba indigene. Born on 2 September 1996, Favour is a graduate of Adamawa State University, where she developed a strong interest in creativity, self-expression and storytelling. Her journey into the movie industry has been one of courage, personal growth and determination. Like many newcomers, Favour's first encounter with acting was not without challenges. She was naturally shy and initially felt uncomfortable in front of the camera. However, rather than allowing fear to define her journey, she decided to confront it. Through acting training, auditions, rehearsals and continuous exposure to the filmmaking environment, Favour gradually began to discover confidence in herself and her abilities. Today, she approaches the camera with a greater sense of boldness and purpose. She credits much of her growth to the encouragement and guidance she received from filmmaker and director Lukas Dauda, whose words of encouragement helped her overcome her early fears and believe more strongly in her potential as an actress. For Favour, acting is more than simply appearing on screen. She sees it as an opportunity to tell stories that reflect society, challenge injustice and give a voice to people whose struggles are often ignored. This belief is one of the reasons she strongly connects with Jungle of Justice, the upcoming film directed by Lukas Dauda. «“I believe in Jungle of Justice because in a country or town where justice is recognised by some elites while poor people are left without fair treatment, the jungle welcomes you. It gives you courage, sacrifice and redemption.”» The message behind the film resonates deeply with Favour because Jungle of Justice explores questions of justice, inequality, abuse of power and the consequences of a society where the vulnerable are sometimes denied their rights. As she takes another step forward in her acting journey, Favour Lasumso Musa hopes to continue developing her craft, taking on challenging roles and contributing to stories that entertain audiences while also making them think. With her transition from a shy newcomer to a more confident performer, Favour represents the spirit of a new generation of Northern Nigerian actors who are determined to use their talent to tell powerful stories and put their region on the cinematic map.
